Format
This is a round-robin style tournament with teams accumulating points as follows:
Win=3 points; Tie=1 point; Loss=0 points
Teams are then ranked within their division according to the points they earn. There are no playoffs within a division or with other divisions. Top 2 teams in each bracket will receive an award.
Tie Breakers
If, at the conclusion of division play, there are ties within divisions, ties will be broken with penalty kicks. Standard PK procedures apply.
Cards
Red cards will result in immediate ejection from the current and any remaining tournament games for both players and coaches.
Red carded coaches are required to leave the tournament venue immediately.
Length of Games
Games will be played in halves with a 5-minute halftime.
-U10-15 minute halves
-U12-20 minute halves
-U15-25 minute halves
Games are “running clock “ without extra time added except when an injury occurs that requires medical attention. Referees have the right to disallow substitutions in the final two minutes of a match.
Games are on a tight schedule, so please make sure that your team is ready to take the field ten minutes prior to your scheduled start time. There will not be any warm-up time on the field.
Substitutions
Substitutions may occur on throw-ins (opposing team may substitute on a throw-in as long as the team in possession is also substituting players), goal kicks, restart after a goal, and halftime. In the case of an injury, both teams may substitute one player. The referee may have the option of limiting substitutions within the last two minutes of a half.
Inclement Weather
This is a rain or shine tournament; however, in the event of severe inclement weather (thunderstorms or snow) the tournament will be rescheduled for May 23/24. No refunds will be issued.
